Homes for orphans

Discover how India Hope’s network of Grace Homes for orphans provide safe housing, education and spiritual care for thousands of orphaned and vulnerable children; graduates have become engineers, nurses, missionaries and professionals and the homes serve over 5 000 children daily.

What we do

We have built schools for the benefit of orphans and needy children in the community, for both primary and secondary school ages. In addition we have built vocational establishments, such as a Nursing school, and in the future we plan to provide degree level courses. Find out more about our Education Programme.

Many of our boys and girls finish secondary school and then go on to obtain a university education. Some are studying now to become engineers, nurses and other types of professionals.

Over the last 25 years, many of our Grace Home children have finished their education and grown up. Some have become missionaries; some have married, had families and are working; others have gone on to finish their university education and are working in different professional positions. Our goal is to help each child discover his future. All the children in the orphanages have ambitious desires for their lives.

Make a difference

Help support our wide and varied work by donating to our cause. Every donation helps give the tools needed to have hope and a brighter future.

How you can help

Hundreds of children are still waiting for sponsorship. You can change a life by sponsoring a child or children, or your organisation or church fundraiser and sponsor an orphanage.

Please sponsor a child or make a donation today. If your organisation wishes to sponsor an orphanage, please contact us for further details. Thank you for standing with us.

Your contribution makes a life-changing difference. We remain fully committed to the daily care of our existing 5,000+ children while reaching more orphans and needy children in need of hope. Each day we provide three meals, requiring 1,700 kilos of rice and 50,000 eggs per month, alongside other essential food supplies. As costs rise, we also need support for medicine, staff salaries, education, building maintenance, and transportation.

When schools reopen in June, we must provide 50,000 notebooks and pens, plus over 4,000 school bags and school dresses. Many of our children go on to university and become engineers, nurses, missionaries, and professionals. Our goal is to help every child discover their future and fulfil their dreams.

Why do we want to help?

On June 12, 1994, Brother Jacob and Elizabeth opened their first orphanage with just three orphans in a remote village called Duginepalli. With many tears, Jacob took the children into his heart and brought them into his small village home. Many believed he was unrealistic and doubted his ability to care for the children and his own family. But Brother Jacob placed his trust in the Lord Jesus. From this humble beginning, the work grew, and today India Hope cares for over 6,500 orphans and needy children across 35 Grace Homes.

Many of our boys and girls complete secondary school and go on to university. Some are now training to become engineers, nurses, and other professionals.

Over the past 25 years, countless Grace Home children have grown up and completed their education. Some have become missionaries, others have married, raised families, and are working in various professions. Our goal is to help each child discover their future and fulfil the ambitions they hold for their lives.
